China’s coke output up 3.2 percent in January-February

In the January-February period this year, China’s coke output reached 77.63 million mt, up 3.2 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the given period, China’s raw coal output amounted to 730 million mt, rising by 5.8 percent year on year, 3.4 percentage points faster compared to the increase recorded in 2022. 

In the first two months this year, China imported 60.64 million mt of coal, up 70.8 percent year on year.
