Italy’s Ansaldo to supply four plants to Yichang Three Gorges Quantong

According to a statement by Andrea Gemme, CEO of Italian plantmaker Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali, the company is to supply four plants for steel strip pickling and cold rolling to Yichang, Hubei-based Chinese steelmaker Yichang Three Gorges Quantong. The order in question is worth $25 million.

Each plant will comprise a pickling line and a cold rolling mill, which will reduce strip thickness from 5 mm to 0.14 mm. Mr. Gemme stated, "The new order will increase our business with Yichang Three Gorges Quantong to $85 million, The Chinese company is fully satisfied with our work."
