Thailand’s motor vehicle output down 28.5% in January-July

In July this year, Thailand's total motor vehicle output (excluding motorcycles) amounted to 151,339 units, down 24.89 percent year on year, according to a report released by the Thailand Automotive Institute. On the other hand, Thailand's motor vehicle output in the first seven months of this year saw a year-on-year decrease of 28.46 percent to 1,103,444 units.

In July of the current year, Thailand's motor vehicle exports totaled 91,785 units, up 8.92 percent year on year, while in the January-July period of this year the country's motor vehicle exports increased by 4.31 percent year on year to 651,832 units.

In July, the number of motor vehicles sold in Thailand's domestic market totaled 69,527 units, down 29.24 percent year on year, while in the first seven months of the current year the country's domestic motor vehicle sales decreased by 39.16 percent year on year to 510,438 units.
