Based on affirmative final determinations by the US Department of Commerce (DOC) and the US International Trade Commission (USITC), the DOC announced on June 29 that it has decided to issue an antidumping (AD) duty order on prestressed concrete steel wire strand (PC strand) from China.
As SteelOrbis previously reported, the US DOC had on May 17 announced its final determinations in the antidumping and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of PC strand from China. On June 10, USITC had determined that a US industry is materially injured by reason of imports of prestressed concrete steel wire (PC) strand from China, which the DOC had determined are subsidized and sold in the United States at less than fair value.

The PC strand subject to the order in question is currently classifiable under subheadings 7312.10.3010 and 7312.10.3012 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States.
