Vallourec, France-based global manufacturer of pipes and tubes, has announced that it will supply seamless line pipe including coating and welding services for the Greater Stella project in the North Sea.

The 96 km of coated line pipe will be delivered to Technip, which is responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of the project, in the first quarter of 2013. Vallourec's line pipe will be installed in a water depth of approximately 85 meters. The premium pipes will be used for oil and gas export lines.

Vallourec also stated that its subsidiary Serimax, an international welding company, has been contracted to perform the welding works at Technip's Spoolbase in Evanton, UK. The scope of work includes welding of 62.6 km of 10" gas export lines and 33.5 km of 10" oil export lines.
