Overall trading activity is still weak due to the off-season and the cold weather. As for the week ahead, considering market inventory has increased but demand is still weak, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may indicate a mostly stable trend.
Chinese domestic welded pipe prices have risen slightly during the past week, supported by increases in prices of raw materials and steel strip. Overall trading activity has remained weak. Since demand is still slack, welded pipe prices have only increased by small margins. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices will just indicate minor fluctuations amid the off-season and support from the cost side.
