Company Profile

Karataş Group of Companies is a family company whose foundations were laid in 1958. The company, which was first founded by the late Mr. Ziver KARATAŞ, based in Istanbul, has grown and transformed over time with both its own and new companies.

Our company was managed by the late Ziver KARATAŞ from its establishment until his death in 2008. Since 2008, the Chairman of the Board of Directors has been held by Mr. Muhittin KARATAŞ.

Karataş Group of Companies serves its customers with 9 warehouses in Gemlik, with a total area of 63,910 m2 with a closed area of 31,540 m2.

The company has been subject to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization Permits and Quality Management Certificates since 2011.

Karataş Group of Companies has an important position in Corporate Tax, being among the tax record holders in Gemlik district of Bursa province, where it operates.

The vision of Karataş Group of Companies is to be a pioneer in its sector and to add value to society by adhering to ethical values. In this context, our companies won 'Environmental Sector Leader' award highlighting their sustainability and environment-oriented leadership approach in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 at the 'Those who Add Value to the Economy' awards ceremonies organized by Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Karataş Group of Companies has been an important business partner of Borusan Group since the 1970s. Our company carries out the buying and selling activities of Prime, second choice products and scraps of Borusan Mannesmann Boru, Borçelik and Kerim Çelik factories. In order to respond to increasing customer demands, it has made intensive industrial investments in the last five years and has included leading companies of the Turkish industry such as Tosyalı Holding, Yücel Boru Group, Yıldız Demirçelik and MMK in its supplier portfolio.
