GIHL acquires license to run iron ore mines

Global Infrastructure Holdings Ltd (GIHL) acquired a license to control Nigeria Iron Ore Mining Company's (NIOMCO) Itakpe and Ajaybanko iron ore mines, which will supply iron ore to GIHL's Nigeria-based steel producer Ajaokuta Steel Company. NIOMCO iron ore mines reportedly contain reserves of 300 million tons. The license will ensure a stable supply of iron ore for Ajaokuta Steel.
