Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 24.6 percent in July

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 264,680 mt in July this year, decreasing by 39.7 percent compared to June and up 24.6 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in July was $63.17 million, decreasing by 38.1 percent month on month and down 18.8 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in July amounted to 257,000 mt, down 32.7 percent on month-on-month basis and rising by 79.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. In the given month, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $134.95 million, decreasing by 31.6 percent month on month and up 27.1 percent year on year.
