In April this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports decreased by 10.9 percent month on month to 66,359 mt, up 37.9 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $51.52 million, decreasing by 9.8 percent compared to March and down 2.7 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in January-April period of this year, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 267,285 metric tons, up 26.8 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these imports totalled $204.16 million, decreasing by 7 percent compared to the same period of 2022.
In the first four months of this year, South Korea ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 120,614 mt, up 367.2 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Russia totalled 73,239 mt.
