In April this year, Turkey’s total welded tube exports declined by 29.8 percent month on month to 149,803 mt and rose by 4.3 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $157.83 million, down by 19.4 percent month on month and by 9.4 percent from April 2022.
In the January-April period this year, Turkey’s welded tube exports amounted to 578,976 mt, down 10.4 percent, while the value of these exports moved down by 21.1 percent to $586.03 billion, both compared to the same period of 2022.
In the given period, Turkey’s largest welded tube export destination was Romania which received 78,288 mt, down 11.5 percent year on year. Romania was followed by Morocco with 74,339 mt and the US with 46,715 mt.
