Turkey’s wire rod exports decrease by 60.2 percent in January-April

In April this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 26,849 metric tons, down 17.8 percent compared to March and by 72.8 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $19.7 million, decreasing by 18.2 percent compared to March and by 77.3 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-April period of this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 155,904 metric tons, down 60.2 percent compared to the same period of the last year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $111.96 million, decreasing by 65.2 percent year on year.
