US domestic rebar spot prices are mostly unchanged week-on-week, although sources say there are some slight deals available for large customers. However, US rebar mills have been able to hold the line with prices for most customers, as imports remain mostly unattractive and there is little to no expectation that scrap prices will drop again next month.

As such, while US domestic rebar spot prices are still around $42.50-$43.50 cwt. ($937-$959/mt or $850-$870/nt) ex-mill in the Midwest, and $42.00-$43.00 cwt. ($926-$948/mt or $840-$860/nt) ex-mill on the East coast, sources say there have been transactions heard for around $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt) below those ranges.
