87.04 percent of quota used for seamless steel pipe imports to Ukraine

As of May 19, importers of steel pipes to Ukraine used 87.04 percent of their annual quota for imports of steel seamless casing and tubing with diameters up to 406.4 mm, according to the Ministry of Economical Development and Trade of Ukraine.

For the period from October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016, the quota in question is 19,505 mt. Of this figure, the unused quota volume is 2,528 mt.

In particular, Russia used 99.99 percent of its quota (13,863 mt) for exports of the mentioned products to Ukraine, Austria used 93.5 percent (2,672 mt) of its quota and Poland used 34.42 percent (442 mt) of its quota, while Romania, Slovakia, India and China have not yet used any of their allocated quotas.
