Activity in Brazil’s civil construction segment declines in April

Activity in Brazil’s civil construction segment declined from 36.6 points in April 2015 to 36.4 points in April this year, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth.

According to information released by the nation’s confederation of industries, CNI, the level of activity in Brazil’s civil construction industry fell from 37.5 points in March on a month-on-month analysis.

The utilization of the industry’s capacity in April reached 54 points, the lowest level so far in the year, and declined from 57 points in March. In April 2015 the utilization of the industry’s capacity totaled 60 points.

The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the segment was stable in 36.6 points in April, slightly increasing from 36.3 points in April 2015.
