AHMSA reports weaker full-year 2019 results

Mexican integrated steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico, AHMSA, reported weaker 2019 full-year results in most metrics.

The company reported a net loss in full-year 2019 of MXN 1.99 billion ($100.5 million), compared to a net loss of MXN 1.30 billion ($65.7 million) for the full-year 2018.

AHMSA said net revenues in full-year 2019 fell 36.8 percent, year-on-year, to MXN 10.2 billion ($515.7 million). The company went from an EBITDA of $10 million in full-year 2018 to post an EBITDA loss of $56 million. EBITDA was the only metric to be posted in US dollars.
