Angang Steel’s CR project in Putian to start trial production in March

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Angang Steel's fully-owned subsidiary Angang Steel Cold Rolled Plate (Putian) is to carry out trial production in March at the main facilities of its cold rolled project located at Putian, Fujian Province in China.
 
The designed output capacity of the cold rolled project is one million mt per year, including 0.7 million mt of cold rolled and 0.3 million mt of hot dip galvanized materials. Products will include plates for application in household appliances, in automobiles and in the construction sector. The total investment in the project, which includes a pickling line, a annealing line, a galvanizing line, 2 rerolling machines, 3 packaging machines and related facilities, is RMB 3.8 billion ($557 million).
 
The CR products will comply with JIS4141 and JIS3135 standards, while the HDG products will comply with EN10142 and EN10147 standards. Product thicknesses will be in a range of 0.25-2.0 mm, with widths of 700-1,350 mm.
