Ansteel sees significant increase in net profit in H1

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Angang Steel Co. (Ansteel) has announced an operating revenue of RMB 25.43 billion ($3.81 billion) for the first half of the current year, down 12.29 percent year on year, with a net profit of RMB 300 million ($44.91 million), rising by 93.55 percent year on year. 
 
In the given period, Ansteel produced 10.80 million mt of pig iron, 10.74 million mt of crude steel and 9.86 million mt of finished steel, down 1.34 percent, decreasing by 0.17 percent and rising by 0.79 percent year on year, respectively.
