ArcelorMittal South Africa and Kumba extend iron ore supply deal

South Africa-based ArcelorMittal South Africa has announced that it has agreed with the largest South African iron ore producer Kumba Iron Ore Company (KIO) to extend the iron ore supply deal between the companies until the end of the year.
 
The supply deal had expired on July 31, 2012. With the extension, KIO's subsidiary Sishen Iron Ore Co. will sell to ArcelorMittal South Africa a maximum amount of 1.5 million mt of iron ore from Sishen mine until December 31, 2012.
