ArcelorMittal Zenica to upgrade its rebar mill

Monday, 19 January 2015 15:17:57 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Luxembourg-based steelmaker ArcelorMittal has stated that its Bosnia and Herzegovina-based subsidiary ArcelorMittal Zenica has announced further planned enhancements to its production facilities, in an investment project valued at €4.65 million.

According to ArcelorMittal, once the project is complete, the new facilities will be capable of producing high density coils of rebar and will greatly reduce the cost of finishing. Thus, ArcelorMittal Zenica will be the sole producer of rebar in coils in the Balkan region, which will boost its market share in southeastern Europe and extend the plant’s product range. By 2019, the company will ensure full operation of the bar mill.
