In October this year, Argentina produced 51,937 units (cars and light commercial vehicles), down by 8.5 percent compared to the previous month and by 0.9 percent year on year, according to the country’s auto association ADEFA.
In the given month, auto exports from the country amounted to 28,563 units, declining by 19.7 month on month and by 23.8 percent year on year.
In October, domestic sales dropped by 5.8 percent compared to September and rose by 23.8 percent from the same month last year to 40,788 units.
Meanwhile, during the first 10 months of 2023, Argentina’s auto output came to 517,173 units, up 15.9 percent year on year.
In the given period, exports increased by two percent to 273,687 units, while domestic sales rose by 14.5 percent to 352,153 units, both year on year.
