Argentina’s crude steel production in September declined 27.9 percent, year-on-year, and 6.2 percent, month-on-month, to 322,100 mt, the nation’s steel chamber, CAA, said on Monday.
According to the local steel union, accumulated crude steel output in the January-September period was 3.07 million mt, 18.6 percent down, year-on-year.
Argentinian hot rolled finished steel production in the ninth month of the year reached 336,000 mt, 0.2 percent down, year-on-year, but 54 percent up, month-on-month. As for the nine-month period, accumulated hot rolled finished steel production totaled 2.86 million mt, 15.6 percent down, year-on-year.
CAA said Argentinian cold rolled flat steel output in September rose 1.6 percent, year-on-year, and 57.1 percent, month-on-month, to 106,200 mt. Accumulated cold rolled flat steel output from January to September was 1.01 million mt, 5.9 percent down, year-on-year.
