Argentinian crude steel output declines in June and H1

Argentinian crude steel output in June declined 16.2 percent, year­ on ­year, and 1.8 percent, month­ on ­month, to 372,400 mt, the nation’s steel chamber, CAA, said late this week.

CAA said accumulated crude steel production in H1 was 2.05 million mt, 15.4 percent down, year­ on ­year.

Argentina’s hot rolled finished steel output in June totaled 326,300 mt, 16 percent down, year on ­year, and 12.8 percent lower when compared to May’s figures. As for H1, hot rolled finished steel production reached 1.9 million mt, 11.5 percent down, year ­on ­year.

CAA said the country’s cold rolled flat steel production in June fell 17.4 percent, year ­on­ year, and 3.6 percent, month­ on ­month, to 106,400 mt. As for H1, total cold rolled flat steel output was 715,900 mt, 1.9 percent up, year­ on ­year.
