Australia launches expiry review on AD duties on certain rebar imports

Australia’s Antidumping Commission has announced that it has launched an investigation to determine whether the antidumping (AD) duty on imports of rebar from South Korea, Singapore, Spain and Taiwan will be extended or not. The duty rates are in the range of 9.7-14.3 percent for South Korea, 3.0-8.2 percent for Spain and 2.8-6.8 percent for Taiwan, while standing at three percent for Singapore.

The commission said the review period covers the full year of 2019. The existing antidumping measures which came into force in November 2015 are due to expire on November 19, 2020.

The products subject to the review fall under the HS codes; 7213.10.00.42, 7214.20.00.47, 7227.90.10.69, 7227.90.90.01, 7227.90.90.02, 7227.90.90.04, 7228.30.10.70, 7228.30.90.40 and 7228.60.10.72.
