Australian miner Equinox Resources has shared some information regarding its Hamersley iron ore project located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Accordingly, the project has a total of 108.5 million mt of direct shipping iron ore with 58 percent Fe content, with significant upside exploration potential to grow the deposit. The Hamersley deposit is considered to be very similar in grade to the Pilbara fines that are sold to Asian markets.

The company also stated that the iron grade can be upgraded to about 60-62 percent after screening and scrubbing.
