Auto parts production in Mexico grows 2.4 percent to $10.55 billion in March

The National Auto Parts Industry (INA), the fourth largest in the world, announced that the value of its affiliates' production totaled $10.55 billion in March, 2.4 percent more, year-over-year. It is the twenty-eighth consecutive annual increase and it is the eleventh time that the monthly value of $10 billion has been exceeded, according to SteelOrbis analysis of data from the business chamber.

Only considering the months of March of each year, 2024 is a historical record. Now, historically, the value of production in March is the second highest in history, only surpassed by $10.68 billion in August 2023.

In the first quarter, production totaled $10.38 billion, 13.1 percent or $1.21 billion more than the same period last year.

With current information, the INA predicted that the value of production for all of 2024 would be $126.1 billion, if the forecast is realized it will mean an increase of 4.1 percent more compared to 2023.
