Automotive sales in Turkey up 63.7 percent in Jan-Oct

In October this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey rose by 55.4 percent year on year and by 4.7 percent month on month to 101,367 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD). In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey moved up by 74.1 percent year on year and grew by 4.6 percent month on month to 82,611 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles increased by 5.5 percent year on year and by 5.2 percent month on month to 18,756 units.

In the January-October period this year, domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles saw an increase of 63.7 percent year on year, amounting to 958,942 units. In the given period, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country grew by 67.8 percent to 749,501 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles rose by 50.6 percent to 209,441 units, both on year-on-year basis.
