Average HRB 400 rebar price in China decreases in late September

In late September (September 21-30) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,436.3/mt ($363.6/mt), RMB 2,670.1/mt ($398.5/mt), RMB 3,286.3/mt ($490.5/mt) and RMB 2,710.7/mt ($404.6/mt), down RMB 5.2/mt ($0.8/mt), RMB 4.7/mt ($0.7/mt), RMB 8.0/mt ($1.2/mt) and RMB 5.3/mt ($0.8/mt), decreasing by 0.2 percent, 0.2 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, while the average prices of 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod and 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet were recorded at RMB 2,559.5/mt ($382.0/mt) and RMB 2,887.9/mt ($431.0/mt), rising by 0.2 percent and remaining stable, all compared to prices in mid-September (September 11-20) this year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on October 9.
