Baogang carries out trial operation of e-commerce platform

Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel (Baogang) has announced that in trial operation of its e-commerce platform initiated on July 7 an overall finished steel trading volume exceeding 7,500 mt has been recorded as of July 28. In particular, the e-commerce platform had gained 300 more registered users since the initiation of the trial operation. 
 
Baogang stated that the establishment of the e-commerce platform could attract more end-users, reduce intermediate links and also more accurately reflect changes of price in the market.
