BMC closes 4,500 mt manganese sales order in Brazil

Brazil Manganese Corporation (BMC), a JV between Cancana and Ferrometals, has closed a 4,500 mt manganese sales order in Brazil, the company announced this week.

BMC didn’t disclose who the client was, but said it is a Brazil-based ferromanganese company. According to BMC, the 4,500 mt manganese sales order follows another 7,500 mt deal announced earlier this year.

BMC said it expects to fully deliver the 4,500 mt manganese order by the end of April.

"Our aim has been to establish a secure supply of high grade ore for Brazilian customers, then scale to a global market. This sale represents confidence in our exploration program,”
Cancana's CEO, Anthony Julien, said.

BMC’s high quality manganese resource is located in the state of Rondonia. The company expects to supply manganese ore to meet the needs of what it sees as a growing demand in the Brazilian domestic agricultural market.
