Brazilian civil construction activity declines in March

Activity in the Brazilian civil construction segment declined from 37.9 points in March 2015 to 37.5 points in March this year, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth.

According to information released this week by the nation’s confederation of industries, CNI, the level of activity in the segment rose in the month-on-month analysis from 35.2 points in February.

The utilization of the industry’s capacity in the third month of the year totaled 57 points, up from 56 points in February, but below the 60 points reached in March 2015.

The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the segment increased from 35.5 points in February to 36.6 points in March, but declined when compared to the 37.2 points seen in March 2015.
