Brazilian wire rod exports increase in March

Wire rod exports from Brazil reached 20,400 mt in March, against 13,900 mt in February, according to customs data.

The exports of March were destined to the US (12,300 mt at $792/mt), South American countries (7,100 mt at $660/mt), Canada (800 mt at $1,616/mt), and the Netherlands (200 mt at $698/mt), all FOB conditions.

The exports were from ArcelorMittal (17,600 mt at $785/mt), Gerdau (2,600 mt at $746/mt), and Simec (200 mt at $608/mt), FOB.

Meanwhile, Brazil imported 20,200 mt of wire rod in March, against 4,500 mt February. The imports were from Asia (19,000 mt, of which 11,300 mt at $553/mt from China) and Europe (1,200 mt at $697/mt), also FOB conditions.
