Activity in the Brazilian civil construction segment rose to 41.8 points in August 2016 from 36.2 points in August 2015 on a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth.
According to information released on Friday by the country’s confederation of industries, CNI, the segment’s activity declined from 42.3 points July despite the increase in the year-on-year analysis.
The utilization of the industry’s capacity in August fell to 56 points from 57 points in July this year, and from 58 points in August 2015.
The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the industry was mostly stable, slightly diminishing to 39.6 points in August, from 39.7 points in July, but up from 34.7 points in August 2015.
