Brazil’s CSP receives first iron ore shipment from Vale

Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem (CSP), has received its first iron ore shipment from Vale, according to a media report.

CSP, a JV between Vale, Posco and Dongkuk, received about 83,000 mt of the commodity at the No. 1 pier in the Pecem port, in the city of Sao Goncalo do Amarante, in the state of Ceara.

According to a media report, the iron ore provided by Vale came from the miner’s Carajas mine, which is located in the state of Para.

Recently, CSP received its first coal shipments to supply its slab mill. CSP is expected to commence production sometime in H1 2016, according to a Vale’s recent forecast.
