Brazil's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) in June this year increased by 4.2 percent from the previous month and fell by three percent year on year to 182,626 units, according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea). Meanwhile, in the January-June period of this year, the country's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) declined by 21.2 percent year on year to 1,016,680 units.
New motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil totaled 171,797 units in June this year, up 2.6 percent compared to May and decreasing by 19.2 percent year on year. 13.3 percent of this figure consisted of imported new vehicles. In the first six months, the country's new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased by 25.4 percent year on year to 983,536 units. 14.2 percent of this figure consisted of imported new vehicles.
Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in June this year (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 43,392 units, decreasing by 7.5 percent compared to the previous month and down 9.6 percent year on year. In the January-June period of this year, Brazil's motor vehicle exports totaled 226,645 units, up 14.2 percent year on year.
