The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced that it has initiated an expiry review against the antidumping and countervailing duties on silicon metal from China. The CBSA will make a determination no later than November 21, 2024, and will issue a Statement of Reasons by December 6, 2024.
The current antidumping duty on silicon metal from China is equal to a range of 47.3-235 percent of the export price. The countervailing duty from China is equal to RMB 1,460.5-1,945/mt.
