CASS: China’s GDP to see a growth of 7.0 percent in April-June

Institute of Finance of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) issued a report, stating that Chinese GDP growth is estimated to reach 7 percent in the April-June period this year, while the quarter-on-quarter growth might be lower than that in the January-March period this year.

In the first three months this year, Chinese GDP growth stood at 4.5 percent, 1.6 percentage points faster than that recorded in the October-December period of last year.

CASS suggests that the central government should appropriately increase leverage and raise the deficit rate, and increase the fiscal deficit rate to a level above 4 percent.
