The Chilean Steel Institute (ICHA) has approved a new regulation for cold-formed coated sheets. The ICHA-approved norm added two new products to the existing steel sheets grades covered at Chilean norm NCh 223, and also updates the requisites for the use of coatings and probe methods for cold-formed coated sheets products.

Chilean National Institute of Standardization, INN, discussed the NCh 223 update for about a year and a half, according to the Chilean Steel Institute (ICHA).

ICHA said the updated norm will provide improved safety for the civil construction-related products.
