China sets definitive AD duty on GOES imports from Japan, Korea, EU

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that it has imposed definitive antidumping (AD) duty on grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) flat rolled imports from Japan, South Korea and the European Union (EU). 
 
The final antidumping duties for the Japanese companies JFE Steel and NSSMC stand at 39 percent and 45.7 percent respectively, while the country-wide duty rate is 45.7 percent. The antidumping duty rates for South Korea and the EU stand at 37.3 percent and 46.3 percent respectively.
 
The MOC imposed preliminary antidumping duties on the abovementioned products in April this year.
 
The products subject to AD duty currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7225.11.00 and 7226.11.00.
