China's coal imports increase by 11.8 percent in January-August

In August this year, China’s coal imports amounted to 45.844 million mt, down 0.8 percent month on month and rising by 3.4 percent year on year, according to the latest data released by China's General Administration of Customs (GACC).

In the January-August period this year, China’s iron ore imports totaled 341.621 million mt, up 11.8 percent year on year.
