China’s coal imports increase by 73.1 percent in January-September

In the January-September period of the current year, China’s coal imports amounted to 347.652 million mt, increasing by 73.1 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on October 13.

In September alone, China’s coal imports totaled 42.14 million mt, down 4.9 percent month on month, while rising by 27.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
