China’s coal output rises by 10.3 percent in January-March

In the January-March period this year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 1.08 billion mt, rising by 10.3 percent year on year, showing the same growth rate as in the first two months of the year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the first quarter, China imported 51.81 million mt of coal, down 24.2 percent year on year, 10.2 percentage points faster than the increase recorded in the first two months this year.
