China’s crude steel output down 1.1 percent in H1

In June this year, China produced 59.74 million mt of pig iron, 69.47 million mt of crude steel and 100.72 million mt of finished steel, up 1.8 percent, 1.7 percent and 3.2 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 15. 

In the first half of the current year, China produced 345.33 million mt of pig iron, 399.56 million mt of crude steel and 559.92 million mt of finished steel, down 2.2 percent, decreasing by 1.1 percent and increasing by 1.1 year on year, respectively.
