China’s FAI in transportation down 3.3 percent in January-April

Total fixed asset investments (FAI) in transportation in China in the January-April period this year totaled RMB 1.0016 trillion ($0.14 trillion), down 3.3 percent year on year, as announced by China’s Ministry of Transportation (MOT).

In particular, the FAI in construction of roads and waterways in China in the given period amounted to RMB 714.5 billion ($100.6 billion) and RMB 61.9 billion ($8.7 billion), down 9.1 percent and up 10.6 percent, year on year, respectively.
