China’s finished steel exports down 1.3 percent in January-February

In February this year, China exported 8.11 million mt of finished steel, down 16.7 percent month on month and increasing by 4.0 percent year on year, while the finished steel export volume in the January-February period totaled 17.85 million mt, down 1.3 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on March 8.

In February this year, China exported 880,000 mt of metallurgical coke, up 140,000 mt or 18.9 percent month on month and increasing by 57.1 percent year on year. In the January-February period, China’s coke exports totaled 1.62 million mt, down 0.8 percent year on year
