China’s finished steel exports up 7.9 percent in Q1

In March this year, China exported 9.98 million mt of finished steel, up 23.06 percent month on month and increasing by 29.61 percent year on year, while the finished steel export volume in the January-March period totaled 27.83 million mt, up 7.9 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on April 13.

In March this year, China exported 1.12 million mt of metallurgical coke, up 240,000 mt or 27.27 percent month on month and increasing by 64.7 percent year on year. In the January-March period, China’s coke exports totaled 2.74 million mt, rising by 22.1 percent year on year.
