China’s fixed asset investments up 9.6 percent in January-May

In the January-May period of the current year, total fixed asset investments (excluding rural households) in China amounted to RMB 18.7671 trillion ($2.85 trillion), up 9.6 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), with the year-on-year increase rate in question 0.9 percentage points lower than that recorded in the January-April period of the current year. In May, fixed asset investments (excluding rural households) in China increased by 0.49 percent month on month.
 
In the January-May period of the current year, total fixed asset investment in China's mining sector amounted to RMB 305.4 billion ($46.41 billion), down 16.4 percent year on year, while fixed asset investment in China's manufacturing sector totaled RMB 6.1041 trillion ($0.93 trillion), up 4.6 percent year on year.
