China’s iron ore output up 20 percent in July

In July 2009, China's coke output totaled 31.882 million mt, up 1.81 million mt or 6.01 percent year on year. Meanwhile, country's coke output for the January-July period reached 190.484 million mt, down 11.56 million mt or 5.72 percent year on year.

China's ferroalloy output totaled 1.891 million mt in July, up 152,500 mt or 8.77 percent year on year. For the January-July period, on the other hand, national ferroalloy production reached 11.239 million mt, down 70,000 mt or 0.62 percent year on year.

In July, China's iron ore output totaled 76.868 million mt, up 13.13 million mt or 20.6 percent compared with the same month last year. The January-July iron ore output reached 455.787 million mt, down 144,700 mt or 0.03 percent year on year.
