China's PPI down 2.6 percent in June

In June this year, China's producer price index (PPI) decreased by 2.6 percent year on year and was down 0.2 percent month on month, according to data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 10. Meanwhile, in June Chinese industrial producers' purchase prices were down 3.4 percent year on year and increased by 0.2 percent compared to May.
 
As for the average price index in the January-June period of the current year, China's producer price index (PPI) decreased by 3.9 percent year on year, while Chinese industrial producers' purchase prices were down 4.8 percent year on year.

In June this year, the PPI for capital goods decreased by 3.5 percent year on year. Specifically, in June the PPI for the domestic raw material industry was down 6.1 percent, while the index for the processing industry declined by 2.0 percent, both year on year.
