China’s retail sales of consumer goods up 10.3 percent in January-August

In August this year, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 2.7540 trillion ($0.41 trillion), up 10.6 percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.

In the January-August period this year, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods reached RMB 21.0505 trillion ($3.16 trillion), rising by 10.3 percent year on year. In particular, in the given period, total automotive vehicle sales in China reached a value of RMB 2.4479 trillion ($0.37 trillion), rising by 8.6 percent year on year.
